Japanese in General
What's up with all the censored Hentai?
Due to idealistic reasons beyond all sense and reason, depictions of genetilia are illegal in Japan, meaning that Japanese-live-action porn and hentai alike have to feature some sort of censorship which occludes the genitilia. In movies this takes the form of mosiacs, while in doujins this usually takes the form of strategically-placed white or black bars. Since the vast majority of hentai is produced in Japan, the vast majority of hentai is censored.            
    However, when a hentai movie or manga is licensed for distribution in the United States, it is the original, uncensored version which is distributed. So all of Hentai-Key's licensed hentai-movies are uncensored.

What is a doujin / doujinshi?
Doujinshi are fan-made works, usually manga (Japanese comics), usually paroding some other anime / manga / video game, and usually involving lots of sex. Doujinshi can also take the form of games or novels, and can feature original characters, storylines, and premises.

What does "Moe" mean?
Moe literally translates to "passion / infatuation / obsession", and is related to the japanese word for fire, but it has several other meanings in different circles. In anime-fandom, it refers to fans' attraction to young anime women. It basically just means sexy / cute / endearing, only applied to lolis and sometimes slightly more mature women.

What's a "Loli"?
A young anime-girl. People who love / are aroused by them or material involving them are referred to as "lolicon". The age limits for being counted as a loli are usually 6 - 15, though it's sometimes used more vaguely.

What does "kunoichi" mean?
A kunoichi is a female ninja. Historically kunoichi were mostly used to seduce and manipulate high-ranking men, as well as to act as spies, but in their modern portrayal, they are given all the ninjutsu-abilities their male-counterparts possess.

Naruto Hentai
Where can I find the Naruto hentai movie?
There is no Naruto hentai-movie. Hentai-Key made about 100 screen-cap like pics, which look like they're from some hentai movie (and they even added subtitles in a few of them to make them look even more like a screen-cap), but they're not. There is no Naruto-hentai movie unfortunately, though many people think there is because of these fake-screencaps. The only Naruto-hentai movies there are are the few in the Naruto Hentai Movie Section, as well as Love-Ninja (which involves some Naruto characters).

Technical
What do I do with these .zip or .rar files?
You can unzip them using programs like Winzip. On this site we use them to store entire doujins as a single file.

Why can't I get this movie to play right?!
You probably don't have the right codec to play it--try downloading Zoomplayer: when you install the program (and give it internet access) it will download and install all the codec you'll need.

Why can't I play this Japanese game?
Set your non-unicode-language on your operating system to japanese--this way your OS can interpret and display the japanese-character set. Note that your OS might prompt you for its installation-disc when you do this so it can copy the necessary files over. To do this, go to Control Panel, Region and Language Settings, Administrative, and then "change system locale" under "language for non-unicode programs". (Not all Japanese games require this to work.) This might have the side-effect of making some of your newly-installed english-programs display in Japanese (because the program sees you're in Japanese mode, and changes its language accordingly).

I just got banned from the chat! What the hell?
Your ban will expire after a while--it depends on how long the admin who banned you set the ban for. If some admin is abusing their power or you got banned for some silly reason, e-mail me, give me your IP, and I'll unban you and talk with whoever banned you incorrectly. Sorry if some admins are being immature--you should be able to chat and use emoticons however you like without worrying about being kicked or banned, no matter what some admin says.

What do I get when I subscribe to the Hentai Key Network?
Full access to the 100+ Hentai-sites (including this one!) on Hentai-Key Network, all of their members-section content (anime, hentai, doujins, games, etc.), and the 150+ H-movies licensed by Hentai-Key, which you can download, watch, and keep on your hard drive forever. You don't have to worry about streaming movies or anything else. New content and websites are added daily.

While browsing the member's section, I get an "Authorization error", and a box asking me to login again. What do I do?
This error is encountered by a small number of computers and GT-accounts using Internet Explorer. Firefox does not have this problem however--if you're encountering this problem, please use the FireFox browser instead while on our site.

How do I cancel my subscription?
Just e-mail Webmaster@Hentaikey.com or Support@Hentaikey.com. I only run Doujin-Moe, not HentaiKey, so I can't cancel your membership.
